Celebrating almost 20 years of their romance, actor-singer Jennifer Lopez, 52 and actor Ben Affleck, 49, got hitched on July 17 in the late-night Las Vegas drive-through chapel, concluding a love affair that lasted over two decades in two separate romances and headlined countless tabloid covers.
In her first Instagram post after marrying Ben Affleck, JLo, in the caption, wrote, “Sadie”, referencing the lyrics “Sadie, Sadie, married lady,” as sung by Fanny Brice in the show. Along with it, Lopez also dropped a photo where she was seen flaunting her wedding ring as she posed in a make-up-free look in the bed. Speaking about the wedding bands, Lopez wrote in her newsletter, “We read our own vows in the little chapel and gave one another the rings we’ll wear for the rest of our lives.” Lopez’s post received several congratulatory messages from her fans and friends.

The couple had a breakup for a long period but then rekindled their love last year. And not only that, Jennifer Lopez, popularly known as JLo, has also changed her name to Jennifer Affleck. Lopez announced their wedding on Sunday in her weekly newsletter to followers under the heading “We did it.” Lopez first made the public announcement in April in the same newsletter, “On the J Lo.”
“Love is beautiful. Love is kind. And it turns out love is patient. Twenty years patient,” wrote Lopez in a message signed by Jennifer Lynn Affleck.
The couple was engaged in 2002 but broke off their relationship one year later. The couple split up, after which they married different individuals and had kids, before reuniting in the year 2000 and getting engaged in April.
Hairdresser Chris Appletown, a close friend of Jennifer, posted a photo of her wedding dress on Instagram. Chris posted a photo of Jennifer dancing in a simple white wedding dress and wrote, “last minute feelings before the wedding …”
Lopez wrote that the couple flew to Las Vegas on Saturday, stood in line for their license with four other couples and were wed just after midnight at A Little White Wedding Chapel, a chapel boasting a drive-through “tunnel of love.” Lopez said a Bluetooth speaker played their brief march down the aisle. She said it was the most unforgettable night of her life.
“Stick around long enough, and maybe you’ll find the best moment of your life in a drive-through in Las Vegas at 12:30 in the morning in the tunnel of love drive-through with your kids and the one you’ll spend forever with,” Lopez said.

Jennifer and Ben announced their marriage in a newsletter in which the couple obtained an annulment certificate in Nevada and were married in the chapel on a Saturday night. Jennifer stated in her magazine, “Love is beautiful. Love is kind. And it turns out love is patient. Twenty years patient. Exactly what we wanted.” Jennifer addressed herself as ‘Mrs. Jennifer Lynn Affleck’,
A marriage license was obtained on their behalf through Clark County dated Saturday, July 16, according to documents published on the internet at the clerk’s offices of the county. The license mentions their names as Benjamin Geza Affleck and Jennifer Lynn Lopez.
